1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how LessInTax & Partners ("LessInTax," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit lessintax.com, subscribe to our newsletters, request our Tax Strategy Questionnaire, complete any opt-in or checkout form, or otherwise interact with us.

LessInTax is a tax-strategy publication and an introduction network connecting high-income individuals, business owners, and investors with vetted tax planners, attorneys, cost-segregation engineers, and related professionals.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

Information you give us

• Contact details, such as your first name, last name, email address, and (if you provide it) phone number.
• Tax Strategy Questionnaire responses, including approximate income range, entity types, real-estate holdings, planning priorities, and similar information you choose to share so we can tailor our recommendations and partner introductions.
• Payment information, when you purchase a paid product or subscription. Payment-card data is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (currently FastPayDirect / Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Correspondence, such as messages you send us by email or through forms on the site.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and links clicked.
• Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, used for site analytics, conversion measurement, and a better browsing experience. See Cookies and tracking technologies.

Information from third parties

• Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and similar tools, which provide aggregated reporting about how visitors find and use the site.
• Network partners, when you have asked us to introduce you to a tax professional and that partner reports the outcome of the engagement back to us.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• Deliver the newsletters, content, and downloads you have requested.
• Send marketing emails (and, if you provide a phone number and consent, future SMS messages) about LessInTax content, offers, and partner services.
• Run, secure, and improve the site, our forms, and our offerings.
• Respond to your questions and requests.
• Match you with appropriate tax professionals in our partner network when you have requested such an introduction.
• Process transactions for paid products and subscriptions.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described below.

• Service providers. Companies that perform services on our behalf, such as our CRM and email platform (GoHighLevel), payment processor (FastPayDirect / Stripe), analytics providers, hosting providers, and email-delivery providers. These providers are contractually limited to using your information to provide services to us.
• Network partners. If you ask us to introduce you to a tax professional (for example, by completing the Tax Strategy Questionnaire and indicating interest in a done-for-you engagement), we will share the relevant portions of your questionnaire and contact information with the matched partner so they can follow up with you. We do not share questionnaire data with partners you have not been matched to.
• Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing without your consent.

5. Email & SMS marketing

When you submit any opt-in or contact form on our site, you consent to receive marketing emails from LessInTax & Partners. If you provide a phone number, you also consent to receive marketing SMS messages from us at that number. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

• Email opt-out. Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop sending you marketing emails promptly.
• SMS opt-out. If we send you marketing SMS messages, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any such message. You may receive a final confirmation message acknowledging that you have opted out.
• Help. For SMS help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected].
• Transactional messages. Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still send you operational messages related to your account, purchases, or legal notices.

This policy is intended to satisfy the consumer-disclosure requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and to make our consent practices clear.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember your preferences, measure how the site is performing, and improve your experience. Common categories include:

• Strictly necessary cookies, required for the site to function.
• Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, which help us understand how visitors use the site.
• Marketing cookies and pixels, such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which help us measure the performance of our ads and reach relevant audiences.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed, we either delete it, anonymize it, or store it in a form that does not identify you personally.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Opt out of marketing emails and SMS at any time (see Email & SMS marketing).
• Withdraw any consent you previously gave us.

10. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information.

As stated above, we do not sell your personal information for money. We may share certain online identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, which California law may define as "sharing." You can opt out of this sharing by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "California Opt-Out."

You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

11. Children's privacy

LessInTax is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it.

12. Third-party websites and services

Our site, emails, and partner introductions may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site or service you visit.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of the page. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or by a notice on the home page). We encourage you to review this page periodically.
